Amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil and Criminal Procedure and the Rules of Evidence are effective December 1, 2023. They include revisions to Civil Rules 6, 15, and 72; Criminal Rules 16, 45, and 56; and Evidence Rules 106, 615, and 702. In addition, two new rules are in effect:  Civil Rule 87 and Criminal Rule 62. Amendments also have been made to the Appellate Rules and the Bankruptcy Rules.
