The Honorable Clarence Cooper Assumes Inactive Senior Status After More Than 27 Years of Service

Monday, September 13, 2021

After more than 27 years of distinguished service to our court, the federal judiciary, and the people of Georgia and the United States, the Honorable Clarence Cooper has assumed inactive senior status. Judge Cooper is a pioneer in the Atlanta legal community with a proud legacy of accomplishment and public service, but he also is known for his kindness and graciousness. Although no longer on the bench, Judge Cooper remains a valued friend and colleague to our judges, and we wish him the best in his next chapter of life. Cases assigned to Judge Cooper at the time of his departure have been randomly reassigned consistent with court procedures.
