Monday, April 15, 2019

Effective Monday, April 15, 2019, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia is Live on NextGen CM/ECF.  As a result, the following changes now are in effect:

New Sign-on Process for E-Filing

To continue e-filing, attorneys must link their individual, upgraded PACER account to their legacy Northern District of Georgia CM/ECF account by following the instructions here.  After linking, attorneys must use their PACER username and password to access the Court’s CM/ECF system.  More details are available under the Electronic Case Filing Info tab above.

Revisions to Local Rules and Appendix H

Local Civil Rule 83.1 and Local Criminal Rule 57.1, both titled, Attorneys: Admission to Practice Before the Court, and Appendix H to the local rules have been revised to address the implementation of NextGen CM/ECF and the attorney’s duty to notify the PACER Service Center of changes to the attorney’s contact information.  In addition, Appendix H has been revised to increase the maximum file size permitted in CM/ECF to 30 MB.  These local rules are available here.

New Attorney Admission Process

Attorneys now must apply for regular admission to this Court through the PACER website.  Detailed instructions are available here.

The process for seeking admission pro hac vice has not changed.  However, after being granted admission pro hac vice, if the attorney does not already have e-filing access, he or she must request it through PACER.  Detailed instructions are available here.
