Beginning January 16, 2008, members of the Northern District of Georgia's Bar may apply for an attorney ID card. The photo identification card will allow approved attorneys to bring cellular telephones with cameras and other electronic equipment into the federal courthouses of the Northern District of Georgia without a court order. An application must be obtained from the court's Human Resources Office located on the 20th floor, room 2013 of the Richard B. Russell Federal Building.
Absent unusual circumstances, an applicant should receive his or her ID card at the same time he or she applies. The photo ID badge will be valid for a period of two years, and remains the property of the U.S. Marshals Service.
